The Planning Commission is a five-member commission.

Responsibilities

Established by state law, the Planning Commission’s primary function is to study proposed developments that may have an impact on the community’s growth and environment. This commission ensures that proposed developments will meet the City of Brea’s technical, environmental, and aesthetic standards. The commission holds public hearings to review plans to ensure they comply with the city’s zoning regulations and general plan for development.

Meetings

  • 6:00 p.m.
  • Two regular meeting dates per month, on every second and fourth Tuesdays of the month
    With the exception of November and December when the meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of the month.

Note: The Commission reserves the right to cancel a meeting due to holidays or vacation periods or when a quorum cannot be present. Notice is provided at the Brea Civic & Cultural Center when that happens and the meeting is removed from the website calendar.
