MFA Biennial: Sophomore Year

The City of Brea Art Gallery is proud to bring back our MFA Graduate Show that explores the art being produced by local Masters of Fine Arts students from Southern California schools. Extraordinary works of art from CGU, CSUF, CSLUB, UCI, and UCR are on view in this impressive second collaboration. 29th Annual Made in California Juried Exhibition

This annual exhibition gets a makeover by adding more prizes, awards, and a solo show! This multi-disciplinary survey of art, selected from over 700 California entries is definitely not to be missed. Artists in every stage of their artistic careers are working in all mediums are encouraged to enter. This popular juried show aims to reveal both established and new art movements within the Golden State.

A Rare Glimpse: Introduction to Unfamiliar Works

This invitational exhibition features artists whose exceptional works beg to be further explored. Works on view have seldom been seen in Orange County and offer a renewed glimpse into artists whom the OC art scene has only briefly encountered. Site-specific installations and new works made solely for this show accompany bodies of work from each invited artist, allowing the viewer a fresh and extraordinary vantage into these artists' unique styles, distinctive subject matters, and often atypical mediums.

Push and Pull: A Collaborative Exhibition with the LA Printmaking Society

The LA Printmaking Society co-sponsors this exhibition featuring fine art printmaking entries juried by Dr. Frank Ellsworth from LAPS members and artists from across the country. LA Printmakers Board Members showed off their works as well, including 2D works and 3D installation, plus a sampling of instructional videos highlighting different printmaking techniques. This exhibition featured an expansive number of print methods including engraving, relief cutting, etching, intaglio, lithography, monoprints, aquatints, and mezzotint.

46th Annual Watercolor West International Juried Exhibition

Recognized as the leaders in the traditional transparent watercolor technique, Watercolor West endeavors to once again bring to the City of Brea Art Gallery an exhibition of the finest examples of the watercolor medium. This exhibit presents 100 works selected from over 1,000 entries submitted from around the world.
