Compost Giveaway Event
On Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 8:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m., the City of Brea and Republic Services will be giving away FREE compost to residents. The event will be held at Tri City Park, 2301 N. Kraemer Blvd., Placentia. Please bring your own containers or buckets, which Republic Services staff will fill with compost. To receive free compost, residents must provide proof of residency (CA driver’s license or utility bill). There is a limit of 60 gallons of compost per household. This event may be subject to changes or postponement due to pandemic restrictions.
Why compost?
Composting is good for the environment and good for your pocketbook, too. Compost enriches the soil, helps retain water and reduces the need for chemical fertilizers; among other benefits.
